The film that exposed the horrors of health systems ▷ Torella: “Reveals unacceptable truths”

Michael has a normal family and a completely peaceful life. His father John works in a factory that does not pass its best moment, but despite this his life and that of his family continue in serenity.
Until one day, during a baseball match, heart failure catches the child by surprise: it would take too expensive care for the father’s wallet – who believed he was covered by insurance – so the doctors even go so far as to propose to Michael’s parents to let the little one go out.
But John doesn’t even contemplate letting his son go due to financial problems: the rest of the film will unravel his struggles with doctors to trust his commitment to pay for treatment and desperate attempts to keep Michael alive, even going so far as to offer his own heart for the transplant.

A film as touching as it is bloody, which reveals the pathological way in which money can come to be considered more important than life itself in modern society.
This, according to the actor Sandro Torella, the moral of “John Q”, directed by Nick Cassavetes and masterfully played by Denzel Washington (in the role of John). A moral that struggles to find powerful sound boxes, given that despite the almost 20 years of age of the film, the lesson remains more relevant than ever. True, USA?
