Half of those points were obtained with a long ball. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. got one when Bo Bichette was on the trails in the third heat. The next hitter, Teoscar Hernandez, took the opportunity to also kick the ball out of bounds. Randal Grichuk hit the other home homer, while Guerrero Jr. and George Springer each held a cushion.

On the lawn at Sahlen Field, however, it was Grichuk who was the most productive, with three hits, including his home run, and four RBIs.

On the mound, Hyun Jin Ryu was nearly flawless in the first six innings, allowing no runs on two hits and one walk. He allowed the Orioles four runs in the seventh inning, however, on five hitting from a safe place and one walk. Nevertheless, the victory went to the record of Ryu (7-4), who passed three opponents in the mitten.

The two teams will face each other again on Sunday, in the last game of a four-man series.
