‘CD Fortuna, organizer of the Behobia-San Sebastián, has communicated this morning that registration for the race will open on Tuesday, June 15. The intention is that this popular, the most important in Euskadi, takes place on November 14, although this will happen as long as “there are no relevant restrictions”.
The organization has made the decision “to do everything in its power to carry out” the race. If the 56th edition could not be held under normal practice conditions, the test would be held in February 2022 (day to be specified). The organization has communicated that in both cases “it will use the usual withdrawal system.”
Likewise, if the race is delayed, those who have a reserved number after the 2020 edition had to be suspended due to the health situation derived from the Covid-19 pandemic, may “request a refund of the money or reserve it for the edition of November 2022 ».
Changes in the bib
All registrations will be made through the official website of the race. On this occasion, everyone – common and those who are not – will be able to sign up from the same moment. Of course, those who have participated in three editions between 2015 and 2020 will receive a discount voucher of five euros. For them, the price they will have to pay to run the 20 kilometers will be 43 euros; in the case of the non-habitual ones, on the other hand, 48.
The change of ownership in the number will be available from September 10 to November 13, although changes in the broker’s bag cannot be made from September 20.
In case of suffering an injury or it is impossible to participate, the organization offers two options that must be carried out before September 20: request that the registration be saved for the 2022 edition or cancel the registration, in which case 6 euros will be retained . If you have a last minute injury (after September 20), the withdrawal will be accepted only if a medical certificate is presented before October 30.
“Any registration received from June 2021 implies acceptance of the possible change of date of the race,” they explain from the organizing club. «The usual withdrawal system will be used. In the event that runners have reserved last year’s registration for this 2021 edition, if the date change is given to February 2022, they will have the possibility to request a refund of the money or reserve it for the November edition of 2022 ».
The organization has communicated that the 2022 edition will be held on November 13.
