The Czech softball players became European champions for the fifth time in a row on Saturday. At the finals tournament in their own country they were undefeated. In the final in Ledenice they defeated Denmark 4-2, the hero of the game was substitute pitcher Jakub Osička.
The Czech men’s softball team has won its eleventh European Championship title. Softball is a variant of baseball, but in Europe it is mostly only played by women. Therefore, the competition in the men’s area is not too great.
