The 2021 NBA Draft, exceptionally scheduled for July 29, is one of the most anticipated of recent times.
The reason? The group of prospects at the top of the Draft Class, considered potentially capable of changing the trajectory of a franchise for the better.
There are at least 5 players that everyone would like to get their hands on: Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley, Jalen Green, Jalen Suggs and Jonathan Kuminga.
Cunningham is considered the favorite for the first choice overall, for the others the situation could change from team to team.
For many insiders, these are prospects with a sure future: “The Top 5 is potentially among the best from 2000 to today, there are years in which a player who would never go to other classes goes to number 1, seasons in missing a real candidate for No. 1. This year is different, in the Top 5 there is a lot of star power ”.
Among the athletes who will try to overtake this group are definitely Scottie Barnes – handyman from Florida State who in his best case scenario would be a better version of Draymond Green – Davion Mitchell – play / guard from Baylor who dominated the season along with his teammates backcourt, and Keon Johnson – an explosive guard who showed some remarkable flashes of talent in Tennessee.
