Schmidt becomes Spanish champion in basketball

Latvian basketball player Rolands Šmits scored six points in the second game of the Spanish Premier League final on Tuesday and became the champion together with the “Barcelona” team. “Barcelona” beat Madrid’s Real at home with a score of 92:73 and won 2-0 in a series of up to two victories.

Schmidt is the second Latvian – ACB champion. Last year, Artūrs Kurucs won a gold medal in the ranks of Vitorija “Baskonia”.
