Judo World Championships 2021: The 34th Judo World Championships should be held in Vienna from September 12th to 19th, 2021. Due to the postponement of the Olympic Games, the IJF (International Judo Federation) has brought the tournaments forward to June 6th to 13th, 2021. The competitions will be held in the László Papp sports arena in Budapest. The 2018 World Championships were originally assigned to the Austrian capital Vienna, but were withdrawn from Vienna in January 2020.

Due to the postponement of the Olympic Games, the then newly selected venue Tashkent was changed again in October 2020. The Judo World Championships will be held in Budapest, Hungary, as the last Olympic qualification.

Schedule, competitions and dates for the 34th Judo World Championship 2021

135 countries from five continents will compete at the 34th World Judo Championship in Budapest. 737 competitions are held in the László Papp sports arena. There will be 436 male athletes and 301 female athletes. The European Judo Union will send 349 judoka from 45 countries to the world championships, 35 nations will compete from the African Judo Union, 25 from the Judo Union of Asia, 7 nations from the Oceania Judo Union and 23 from the Pan-American Judo Confederation.

The 141 competitions of the German judoka are not broadcast live on free TV or in the free live stream.
