Albert Sàbat will continue to be the mainstay of the Bàsquet Girona dressing room and, in return, of the project at the LEB Or. This was announced yesterday by the club and the Llagostera base after reaching an agreement for another season. “I am very happy because I wanted to keep playing and the club also wanted me to keep going, everything has been very easy. In addition, I will be able to continue in Girona, my city “, explained the player.

Coming from the ACB with the Monbus Obradoiro, the lobster player immediately took on the leadership role to lead the team towards promotion to LEB Or. This year, the people of Girona have ensured their permanence and have kept alive even the options of dreaming of the play-offs. After defining the LEB Gold roadmap for next season, Sàbat acknowledged that “it is still early to talk about next year, but the club has grown and I am sure it will go one step further” . From there, Sàbat made a career in the LEB Or with nine experiences in different teams: Plus Pujol Lleida, Tenerife Rural, CB Vic, Sant Josep Girona, CB Canarias, Lucentum Alicante and Ford Burgos.
