Riga’s “Dinamo” is joined by another Finnish striker

Tīvola, 27, made his debut for the Finnish national team at the recent World Championships in Riga and won a silver medal. He went on the field in two championship games and scored with one effective pass, assisting in the first goal of the Finnish national team against Latvia.

Tīvola has spent his previous career only in Finland. He started his professional career in the “Blues” club system in Espoo.

In Finland’s strongest league, three teams – “Blues”, Rauma “Lukko” and Pori “Assat” – he has gone on the field in 396 games in eight seasons, in which he scored 60 goals and made 109 assists. Last season, he had five goals and 25 assists in 37 matches.

Previously, the team has announced that it will be assisted by defenders next season – Kārlis Čukste, Frank Korado, Rīss Skārlets, Nerijus Ališauskas, Ralfs Freibergs, Oskars Cibuļskis, Roberts Mamčics, Kristaps Zīle, Gunārs Skvorcovs and Kristaps Sotnieks, attackers Šinkaraks, Gints Meija, Sebastians Venstrems, Jeri Karjalainens, Aleksandrs Protapovičs, Lauris Dārziņš, Mārtiņš Karsums, Nikolajs Jeļisejevs and Daniels Bērziņš, as well as goalkeepers Matejs Mahovskis and Juhans Matsons.

The head coach of “Dinamo” next season will be Russian specialist Sergei Zubov, but he will be assisted by Valery Kulibaba, Oleg Orehovsky and Edgar Lushin.

The Rigans have not played in the Gagarin Cup for seven consecutive seasons, remaining last place in the league last season.
