The delegation that will represent Puerto Rico during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games continues to grow.
The Puerto Rico Olympic Committee (Copur) reports that Melissa Mojica, María Pérez and Adrián Gandía qualified in the judo discipline. The trio were participating in the World Judo Championships in Budapest, Hungary, in order to add the necessary points in the rankings to secure a ticket.

Mojica finished in seventh place to achieve qualification. The experienced athlete comes from winning the bronze medal in the adult Pan American Championship in the +78 kilogram division in Guadalajara, Mexico. Meanwhile, Pérez entered by direct classification and Gandía by continental quota
That brings to 33 the group of Puerto Rican athletes who will parade in Tokyo.
