PSG: Sekou Doucouré, aspiring and lively footballer

“My dream is to become a pro at PSG. “Sekou Doucouré, a young player from the club’s training center in the capital, does not hide his sporting ambitions. From his earliest childhood, the native of Charenton-le-Pont felt the round ball with his father in the Bois de Vincennes. It is therefore quite naturally that he joined the Charenton football club at the age of 7 before joining the Joinville club in 2015. The beautiful story continues when the central defender joined the PSG U14s in 2016. Today, player of the U16 team, he wants to “continue his journey, continue to work hard” to achieve his ultimate goal: the France team.

Sekou is not only a promising player with an imposing physique (1.83 m). He also impresses with his eloquence and fluency in oral communication. This Wednesday, June 2, at the Ministry of Sports, the French hope participated, in fact, in the final of the eloquence competition of national training centers. Organized by the Fondaction and Prométhée Education associations, the final decided between the 11 best speakers from 10 French training clubs. Sekou Doucouré represented PSG. For six months and surrounded by educators from Prométhée Education, the Parisian hope prepared his speech, his oral presence, his occupation of space …

“It is super important to speak well these days”

According to him, “it is super important to speak well these days, especially in the world of football, if it is on TV”. It is a successful mission for Sekou who received last week the congratulations of the Minister in charge of Sports, Roxana Maracineanu, for his choice of a social subject: “Do we always have to obey the laws? “. With aplomb, the young Parisian of 16 years pleaded in favor of civil disobedience based on historical examples and concluding with this sentence from Albert Einstein: “Blind obedience in authority is the greatest enemy of the truth “.

He did not, of course, choose his subject, imposed by his educators, but he allowed him to explore more philosophical questions. “You have to obey the laws anyway, but in some cases disobeying the laws was not the wrong solution. The young Parisian believes that questioning himself for six months on the subject of obedience to the laws nourished his reflection and completed his training.

A valuable experience for the oral examination of the French Bac

The next day, Sekou Doucouré evokes an “incredible experience” which he highly recommends and which allowed him to “progress on many points”: argumentation, self-confidence and eloquence in particular. The fact of being “passed in front of many people”, including the Minister of Sports, is decisive for oral insurance. He does not lose sight of the school deadlines for the end of high school. Today, in Seconde and in progress until the end of June, Sekou was able to work and anticipate the Bac blanc de Français that he will take next year.

The competition taught him to “think more before answering and not to answer too simply.” Nevertheless, his primary objective remains “to play the categories above (NDLR : U 17, U 18, U 19) “. The Parisian player is determined and fully focused on this dream. He nevertheless underlines that he “will follow the media training sessions organized by the PSG during the holidays”.

What motivates him, above all, is the resumption of the championships scheduled for the start of the school year. He will once again be able to rub shoulders with his opponents in U17 and show what he is capable of: “Training is good but it is the terrain that makes progress!” “Looking to the future, Sekou Doucouré relies on unfailing motivation and great self-confidence to achieve his goals. The young Parisian central defender is promised a sunny future! To monitor !
