VARESE, 11 June 2021-To play basketball over 45 and reliving a second youth, something that until a few years ago was unthinkable is now a reality, since the beginning of the season a group of Milanese fans of the ball in wedges including several former players who have walked both national and minors parquet have given life to the Milanese section of “Golden Players”, a national circuit linked to the Libertas sports promotion body where passion, friendship and fun are the foundations.
The President’s group Carlo Sigillo and coordinated by Maurizio Secchi started its activities last September and carried out an activity made up of weekly meetings on Wednesday evening and Saturday morning at the gym in Via Pertini in Settimo Milanese culminating with the participation in the 1st National Trophy held last 29/30 May at the Palasport of Lonato (BS) where he faced the Genoa section in the semifinal, winning for 71 to 56 and the Final against the Naples Section losing for 63 to 43 but receiving compliments from the National President of Golden Players Italia Virgilio Marino, the Team is also preparing to participate in the Italian Basketball Veterans Championship in collaboration with the Milanese section “Edoardo Mangiarotti” of the National Union of Sports Veterans, Meritorious body of CONI.
