Outings – Leisure | Marseille: a medieval day to bring life to the bastide

A return to an increasingly normal life in a chivalrous atmosphere. To mark the gradual lifting of many health restrictions, the town hall of the 13th-14th is organizing a big party on the medieval theme this Saturday at the Saint-Joseph bastide, within the grounds of the park of the major seminary.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., tales and stories will be presented to the youngest as well as period costumes, fun workshops or even combat and archery demonstrations will be offered to the public. “We want to do the mini Puy-du-Fou Marseille, laughs Ali Yatsou, deputy of the Culture sector. Between the various and varied stands, the demonstrations of the knights, the magnificent costumes or the farm animals … There will be something for all tastes and for all ages and it will allow you to discover this medieval period through a playful daye“.

The elected official took the opportunity to specify that the setting of the park of the major seminar is ideal for enjoying a day in the open air while respecting the sanitary rules. “We can spread out and enjoy the space that is at our disposal“, he indicates. A catering area, on a medieval theme, will also be available to the public.
