The word “demonstration of power” was probably introduced for something like this. The Brooklyn Nets have also won their second home game against the Milwaukee Bucks and are now traveling to Wisconsin for the next two encounters.

Kevin Durant (32 points) and Co. were the better team from the start and didn’t let the Bucks come into play at all. Brooklyn was already leading in the second quarter – without James Harden, who was injured in the thigh – with 22 points. In the end, the Bucks and MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo (18 points) scored 39 points in the loud “Barclays Center”. For the Nets, it was the highest play-off win in franchise history.

Denver starts better – Phoenix wakes up before half time

It got a little louder a few hours later in the Arizona desert. There the Phoenix Suns received the Denver Nuggets for the first duel for a place in the finals of the Western Conference. The guests from Colorado got off to a better start and managed to calm down the raging Suns fans. Only shortly before half-time did Phoenix take the lead for the first time and transformed the “Talking Stick Resort Arena” into a madhouse in the third and fourth quarters at the latest.

A threesome followed the other, alley oops served as a punchline – and in the end the Suns won clearly with 122: 105. Especially MVP candidate Nikola Jokic (“only” 22 points) got DeAndre Ayton (20 points) under control, except for Jamison Crowder (14) all starters of the home side scored at least 20 points. Game two will also be played in Phoenix again.
