After two defeats at the start of the series in Utah, the Los Angeles Clippers have also won their fourth game in a row against Jazz and are now in the final of the Western Conference for the first time in their franchise history.

The hosts had to compete again without Kawhi Leonard (knee injury), so an unexpected match winner appeared. After Utah had led by a whopping 25 points at the beginning of the third quarter, Terance Mann was unstoppable and sank one basket after the other. By the end of the third quarter, Jazz was only leading by three points.

Mann (39 points, career record) and Paul George (28 points) turned this deficit into a well-deserved victory. Utah, who started the play-offs as number one, has to pack their bags early again. The Phoenix Suns are now waiting for the Clippers, who had cleared the Denver Nuggets 4-0 but are still worried about Chris Paul (COVID-19).

Wild game in Atlanta: Philly keeps his nerve this time

After losing a 26-point lead in game five, the Philadelphia 76ers were under pressure before game six in Atlanta: win or fly. And it went on as it had ended two nights earlier in Philadelphia: with winged hawks.

In a wild initial phase, Atlanta – as always led by Trae Young (34 points) – pulled away a bit, but like the Sixers made numerous unnecessary mistakes. Philly profited, took the lead for the first time in the third quarter and finally won just 104-99.

In addition to Joel Embiid (22), Seth Curry (24) and Tobias Harris (24) scored particularly well on the 76ers’ side. Game seven is now back in Philadelphia.
