Monday 21 June, at the Parco Europa Unita in Cervignano del Friuli, from 9 pm, the players of the Olympic Softball National Team will officially receive the jersey for the FVG 2021 European Championship, which will take place in the region from 27 June to 3 July. The evening is organized by Cervignano Baseball Softball with the support of the Municipality of Cervignano.
On this occasion, the Italians will celebrate, together with the public, the Global Day against ALS, attending the theatrical representation ‘L’Ultima Partita’ by and with Mario Mascitelli, which tells the sporting and human story of Lou Gehrig, the great champion of New York Yankees of the 1920s and 1930s which gave the name to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
The Italian Baseball Softball Federation and AISLA Onlus united once again to involve the public in the daily struggle in favor of research, people affected by the terrible disease and their families.
