Nadia Podoroska made it to the Bad Homburg quarter-finals

A few days before the start of Wimbledon, Nadia Podoroska continues to add good feelings on grass and this Wednesday she got into the quarterfinals of the WTA in Bad Homburg, after beating Romanian Patricia Tig 7-6 (7-4), 2-6 and 6-4.

With this triumph, Rosario became the first female tennis player to break into the top eight in a WTA grass court competition, after Gisela Dulko did it at Eastbourne 2008.



Argentina’s next rival, 24, who currently enjoys her best position in the world ranking (39th), will be the winner of the duel between the Czech Petra Kvitova (12th) and the American Ann Li (70 °).

Podoroska came from achieving the first victory on grass of his career by winning in the debut of the German tournament against the local Mara Guth by 6-0, 6-3.
