Moraleños players dominate the Provincial Badminton in School Age – Lanza Digital

The town of Moral de Calatrava hosted the third test with triumphs in almost all categories of local youth.

The town of Moral of Calatrava last Sunday, May 30, hosted the Provincial School Age Badminton Championship. It was the third test of the provincial circuit corresponding to this 2020/21 season, organized by the Provincial Council and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Ciudad Real, in collaboration with the Moral de Calatrava City Council, represented by Rocío Zarco.

The prizes were distributed among players from Aldea del Rey, Llanos del Caudillo, Puertollano, Miguelturra and, especially, Moral de Calatrava, the latter dominating the different categories. Other participating localities were Alamillo, Porzuna, El Robledo and Fernán Caballero.

There were a total of 58 participants (30 boys and 28 girls) divided into four categories, who played an exciting sports competition, with finals played in three sets in the different categories that made the audience vibrate. Throughout the day there was a mixture of emotions and feelings, but above all very important values ​​that badminton transmits: effort, improvement, respect, sportsmanship or companionship, among others.

To end the event Manuel Estornell Towers, Mayor of Moral, and Angel Flores Sánchez, badminton provincial delegate, gave trophies for the first three classified and medals from fourth to sixth. In addition, a bag of sweets was given to each participant, a gift from the Moral de Calatrava City Council.

The first and first four of this Provincial will defend Ciudad Real in the Regional school, to be held in Cobisa on June 12 for the under-11 and under-15 categories, and on June 13 for the under-13 and under-17 categories.
