Monaco in the ranks of Lithuanian internationals Edgaras Ulanovas and Mindaugas Kuzminskas

AS Monaco, which will play in the EuroLeague next season, is preparing to build its future squad. And obviously, the Principality’s club particularly appreciates Lithuanian stars.

According to Sportando, the Roca Team would be the favorite team to enter Edgar Ulanov (1.99 m, 28 years old), the former base man of Zalgiris Kaunas, third in the EuroLeague 2018. Six-time Lithuanian champion, double MVP of the final, seen 203 times in the queen competition, he comes out a delicate first experience abroad (4.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in EuroLeague), under the colors of Fenerbahçe Istanbul, far from its Zalgiris standards (9.7 evaluation the previous season).

The BasketNews site qualifies the information, indicating that still no offer has been made despite the serious interest of the club, but adds that AS Monaco are also strongly interested in the winger. Mindaugas Kuzminskas (2.05m, 31 years old), one of the biggest talents in Lithuanian basketball. Author of an NBA season with 6.3 points on average in 2016/17 with the Knicks, the double vice-champion of Europe has become over the years an old road of continental basketball (passed by Zalgiris Kaunas, Malaga, Milan, Olympiakos and Lokomotiv Kuban). VTB League all-star in 2020, he was worth 12.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in EuroCup this season with the Russian club, notably dropping 21 points to the Metropolitan defense in the opening of the Top 16 start January.
