Miggy’s got the Royals sentenced

The Detroit Tigers beat the Kansas City Royals for the second consecutive day, this time 4-3, in a commitment in which Miguel Cabrera was once again productive.

The Venezuelan led the Bengals with a line in the first inning after a single to center field, off starter Mike Minor.

Detroit extended its lead to 3-0 two innings later with a home run by Johathan Schoop. And, although Kansas discounted with two at the close of that same episode, Daz Cameron sentenced by driving in Detroit’s fourth run in the sixth inning.

The Royals manufactured one in the seventh on a single by Nicks Lopez, but that wasn’t enough to reverse the loss.

Cabrera, who acted as designated, finished 4-2 with a push and another scored to confirm the good moment he is living after the first two weeks of June.

His overall average improved to .216, but his average for the last seven games rose to .321.

Although Miggy has struggled to be consistent this year, one thing remains the same: he does what Kauffman Stadium does.

At the Royals’ home, Cabrera has an astronomical average of .421 and an OPS of 1158 this year. The next highest-hitting stadium is Miller Park and there he has a modest .250 average.

Miggy definitely likes Kansas.
