Menpora Zainudin Amali condolences to the residence of the late Markis Kido, in Bekasi, Wednesday (16/6/2021). He conveyed President Joko Widodo’s message to the family.
Zainudin Amali arrived around 10.30 WIB. He was greeted by Joko Priyanto, a representative from the family who took him around the house. Joko Priyanto is the older brother of Markis Kido’s wife, Richa Sari Pawestri.
On this occasion, Zainudin Amali also conveyed a message of condolences from Joko Widodo for the death of Markis Kido. While actively playing, the deceased often made the Indonesian nation smell good.
“I want to convey my deep condolences from the government and also I want to convey greetings and condolences from President Pak Jokowi,” Amali said.
Some of Markis Kido’s achievements include the 2007 BWF World Championships, the 2010 Asian Games, and the highest being the 2008 Olympic champion. Together with Hendra Setiawan, he won the titles in the men’s doubles sector.
For his achievements, Markis Kido has a place in the hearts of all Indonesian badminton lovers. President Jokowi hopes to create another Markis Kido successor.
“He conveyed his condolences to the family, we do know the struggle of the deceased and of course we all testify that the deceased is a good person,” said Amali.
“Hopefully the good deeds that have been done during the deceased’s life will expand and also make the journey in his grave a good one,” said the man from Gorontalo.
