“Lightning” Stanley Cup final begins with a convincing victory

Lightning won the Montreal Canadiens 5: 1 (1: 0, 1: 1, 3: 0) at home and took the lead 1-0 in a series of up to four wins.

Ēriks Černāks put the home team in the lead in the seventh minute of the first period, adjusting the direction of the partner’s throw-in in front of the goal. Less than 20 minutes later, Jani Gords stood out in a similar manner, but Ben Shario recovered one goal for the Canadiens two minutes before the end of the second third.

In the second minute of the third period, after Nikita Kucherov’s throw with the awkward side of the stick shovel, the puck successfully found its way to Kerry Price’s goal. The striker, who missed the entire regular season, scored his second goal in the 12th minute, but in the last minute of the regular time, he successfully scored Steven Stemkos in the numerical majority.

Kucherov closed the game with 2 + 1, but three assists for Breiden Point.

Praise “Canadiens” scored 22 out of 27 shots in the goal, but Andrejs Vasilevskis dealt with 18 out of 19 programs on the other side of the field.

The Canadiens last won the Stanley Cup 28 years ago, while Lightning is last season’s champion.

Usually in the NHL regular season, the teams each play 82 matches, but this season the teams each played 56 duels.
