Kodaira and Hickok, first leaders in the Travelers

The Japanese Satoshi Kodaira and the American Kramer Hickok achieved a record of 63 strokes (-7) that place them in front of the Travelers Championship tournament, of the PGA Tour, upon completion of the first round.

Kodaira and Hickok, who barely made one bogey each on their respective runs – the best for both of them as professionals., they had one less hit than the American Talor Gooch (64, -6), who finished second.

While others five golfers delivered a signed card of 65 strokes (-5), to two of the leaders and share the fourth place.

The defending champion, American Dustin Johnson, who was ranked No. 1 the world until Spaniard Jon Rahm overtook him on Sunday with his victory at the US Open, stumbled at first with a bogey on the second hole and then a double on number 3.

Johnson finished with two birdies and posted a 70, par which has the TPC River Highlands field, where the tournament is played.

Colombian Sebastián Muñoz finished in fifteenth place with a record of 67 strokes (-3) after making three bogeys with two birdies in the first half of the round and in the second he was perfect with four birdies.

Chilean Joaquín Niemann (68, -2) shared 25th place with 19 other players, while the Mexican Carlos Ortiz achieved a record of 70 (par) and was placed in position 76, also tied with 19 more golfers.

It was worse for the Spanish Rafael Cabrera, Mexican Abraham Ancer and Puerto Rican Rafael Campos who finished the day with a record of 72 strokes (+2) each to share the 110th spot

Argentine Emiliano Grillo had less inspiration in his game by delivering a signed card of 74 (+4) and go down to 150th place in the provisional ranking.
