Jérémy Ricard-Dorigo leaves, Saumont and Wiscart-Goetz stay

Jeremy Ricard-Dorigo (2.00 m, 27 years old) will not play for the Caen Basket Club during the 2021-2022 season. Yet under contract until 2022, the winger has found common ground in order to leave the club announces Ouest-France.

The former NM1 top scorer with Orchies couldn’t have had the impact he hoped for at the CBC. Expected like a leader of the Norman attack, he was first slowed down by a lumbar injury that followed him until January 2021. In an existing team, he then had to find a place for himself, finishing the season with statistics of 8.5 points at 41.7% success on shots, 2.7 rebounds, 1.5 assist below his usual standards, which is however also explained by the richness of the he workforce of Fabrice Courcier who finished 23 wins and 3 losses, narrowly failing in his quest to climb. The CBC is therefore looking for a reinforcement in his post to complete with Bryson Pope who remains in Caen for an eighth season.

On the other hand, Séraphin Saumont (1.98 m, 26 years old) and Tom Wiscart-Goetz (1.99 m, 22 years old this month) have extended their contract for an additional season. The northerner interior was running 5.8 points at 35% shooting success and 3.9 rebounds in 19 minutes. The French Riviera leader posted statistics of 6.5 points to 36.9% and 1.7 assists in 14 minutes.
