Manchester spokesman Henderson has long been trying to heal a pelvic injury. The recovery is not going according to plan, so the England Football Federation announced on Tuesday that the goalkeeper will be replaced by Remesdale.
Sheffield United goalkeeper trained with the other 32 candidates before the final tournament. Remesdale will be able to join the sample camp after passing negative Covid-19 tests again.
The English Football Federation said in a statement that Henderson would soon return to United, where he would also continue his rehabilitation.
23-year-old Remesdale has not yet made his debut in the English adult team. For him, Jordan Picford and Sam Johnston compete in this tournament.
The England team beat Croatia 1-0 in the first game of the final tournament on Sunday.
England and the Czech Republic are leaders in sub-group D with three points, while Croatia and Scotland are losing.
England will play against Scotland on Friday and the Czech Republic on June 22.
