After the decision to move the final qualifying tournament for the Olympics from Taiwan, due to new Covid-19 restrictions, in Mexico and the postponement of the start to June 22, the Dutch federation KNBSB has decided to use all the available weeks of the month of June to play the various rounds of the top national championship. Thanks to the flexibility in the national championship calendar, the two clubs will play six official matches in the first two weeks of June: today in Rotterdam at 7.30 pm the first meeting between the reigning champion L&D Amsterdam Pirates and the current leaders Curacao Neptunus. Then on Saturday in Amsterdam and Sunday in Rotterdam, next week two races in Amsterdam and one in Rotterdam. They will be excellent opportunities for the manager of the Dutch national team to observe the numerous candidates to be called up for the orange team in preparation for the Olympic Games. It should be remembered that the two clubs qualified for the European Champions Cup which will take place in Ostrava, in the Czech Republic.
