Haramara Gaitán se mentaliza para Tokio 2020

Knowing that the Olympics will be the greatest challenge of her career, Haramara Gaitán has not only trained to raise her competitive level, but has also worked to shore up her mindset heading into Tokyo 2020.

The badminton player from Guadalajara assured that this summer fair is a great platform for her, but She couldn’t hide that she feels a bit nervous about fulfilling this dream.

“Every tournament, every match was like playing a final. This Olympic Games qualification is a platform, since badminton qualifies via ranking; every time I had the opportunity to compete against foreign players, I increased my competitive level ”.

“All the work is reflected in each game, I feel very happy and ready to continue. Although it is one more competition, the (Olympic) rings are imposing, but I work a lot with my psychologist; I must do the same as in all competitions, execute and concentrate ”, he shared with the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (Conade).

Gaitán, who is of Guadalajara origin but currently represents Nuevo León, has made history for the country, because for the first time Mexico will have two representatives of this specialty within the Olympic Games: Haramara and Lino Muñoz.
