This Wednesday, Águilas Doradas announced the arrival of Uruguayan midfielder Facundo Ospitaleche, a player who comes from being in Fénix in his country, but who had already played in Colombia with River Plate from Uruguay, in the second phase series of the South American Cup 2020 against Atlético National.
“The midfielder Facundo Ospitaleche joined the Águilas Doradas project for the 2021-II season. The Uruguayan comes from playing for Fénix, a team in the First Division of his country, ”the club said in a statement posted on its social networks.
“I have felt very good, I am just getting to know the city and I have received a good treatment. My expectations are very high, I want to do very well at the club and meet the objectives of the institution, “said Facundo in dialogue with the press department of the Antioquia club.
Regarding his physical conditions, the oriental said that “I am a midfielder who can play in various positions, but more in the double 5, because I have dynamics and I play back and forth. I already spoke with Professor Stifano about his style of play and what he wants from me ”.
In this way, this is his second international experience for the 25-year-old player, who had played for Venados de México in the 2016-17 season. Ospitaleche has also had participation with the Uruguayan team shirt in youth categories. In the South American U-17 Championship he obtained fourth place and in the World Cup of the same category that year he reached the quarterfinals.
Facundo made his debut in 2015 with the shirt of Defensor Sporting de Uruguay, in 2016 he went to Venados de México, in 2017 he had his first stage with River Plate de Uruguay, in 2018 he returned to Defensor Sporting, then he returned to River Plate de Uruguay where He stayed until 2020 and in the first semester he was active in Fénix.
The one born in Montevideo, Uruguay is Águilas Doradas’ second addition for the new season, joining central defender Oswaldo Henríquez.
