For the second season in a row, Dončič is included in the NBA’s first symbolic team

Kristaps Porziņģis team member Dallas “Mavericks” team Luka Dončičs is included in the first symbolic team of the National Basketball Association for the second year in a row, the league informs.

The only player whose name appeared in each of the 100 bulletins was Jannis Adetokunbo of the Milwaukee Bucks. He is included in the first symbolic selection for the third year in a row. The second basketball player with the most votes (99) was Denver Nuggets leader Nikola Jokičs, but Dončič was mentioned in 55 bulletins.

Dončič is the first basketball player since the 90’s, who has managed to enter the first symbolic team twice in his first three seasons. This achievement has also allowed him to fulfill one of the terms of his debtor’s contract, as a result of which the Slovenian is entitled to sign a contract worth more than 200 million US dollars.

At the end of the last century, the legendary Tim Duncan was also voted in the first symbolic selection twice at the beginning of his career.

Also along with the three basketball players mentioned above, the first team also includes Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors) and Kavai Lenard (Los Angeles Clippers).

Damian Lillard (Portland’s “Trail Blazers”), Joel Embyd (Philadelphia’s “76ers”), Chris Paul (Phoenix’s “Dog”), Julius Rendl (New York’s “Knicks”) and Lebron James (Los Angeles “Lakers) were voted in the second symbolic selection.

Meanwhile, the third sample includes Cairy Irving (Brooklyn Nets), Bradley Bill (Washington Wizards), Jimmy Butler (Miami Heat), Paul George (Clippers) and Rudy Gober (Utah Jazz).

Rendl and Bill had never before been included in the league’s symbolic national team, but James is on these lists for the 17th time. Paul is included in the symbolic sample for the tenth time.

The symbolic sample was chosen by 100 media representatives from all over the world.
