FEEDBACK ON THE NATIONAL EXAMINATION OF THE 5th DAN | French Judo Federation

This weekend took place at the National Judo Institute the national examination of 5th dan. 37 of the candidates were successful. The number of registrants has increased by 70% compared to last year.

These June 12th and 13th took place at the INJ of the passing of rank. In front of 5 jury composed of 5 judges, they were 54 to try to obtain their 5th dan. 57% of the candidates were admitted and 15 of them must represent only one UV. Mohammed zouarh (President CSDGE), Michele Lionnet (Director of training), Marc Bonnier (Mdoctor) and Guy LEBAUPIN (Member of the DTN and responsible for the exam) were present at this event.

The candidates had to pass 3 successive tests lasting 25 minutes:

– Ju no kata: the demonstration had to highlight the technical principles, the sincerity of the actions and the reactions between Tori and Uke.

Judo: the technical elements chosen by the candidate had to be linked by a common thread and be part of a logical construction.

– Jujitsu self defense: the demonstration had to go beyond a technical follow-up by giving meaning to the service.

The judges wished to underline the good organization of this passage of grade as well as the motivation of the candidates despite the current difficulties.
