EM 2021: Tickets for Germany against England only with residence in Great Britain

German fans can only see the classic in the European Championship round of 16 between Germany and England live at Wembley Stadium if they live in Great Britain, Ireland or on the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey. This emerges from an internal mail from the German Football Association, which is available to the German Press Agency. It says that the European Football Union Uefa can only offer tickets for the match in London on Tuesday (6 p.m., TV: ARD, live ticker: SPIEGEL.de) to followers whose residence is in the so-called Common Travel Area.

The reason for this is, according to the letter, the entry requirements to Great Britain because of the corona pandemic. Strict quarantine measures apply to travelers from Germany. Violation of the regulations could result in heavy fines or even imprisonment. According to the current status, fans who have traveled from Germany would have to isolate themselves for ten days after arriving in Great Britain. You can get freetested after five days.

The Italian federation had previously announced that fans of the »Squadra Azzurra« can only take part in the round of 16 against Austria on Saturday in London if they are resident in Great Britain.
