EM 2021: Thomas Müller is out at least one game – football

According to BILD information, Thomas Müller (31) is out of the game in Hungary due to a knee injury (capsule and inner ligament). A use for a possible round of 16 would also be questionable.

Müller had to sit out at the DFB training session on Monday morning. It is now clear that playing against Hungary is not an option.

In the first two group games, the Bayern star had already shown why national coach Jogi Löw (61) had brought him back to the national team. The offensive all-rounder was on the starting line-up against France (0: 1) and Portugal (4: 2) and played both games over the full 90 minutes.

In the DFB-Elf, Müller’s role as commanding officer on the offensive and endurance runner in the German pressing system is actually irreplaceable. At least against Hungary Jogi now has to do without his loudspeaker on the pitch.
