The president and owner of the Thetford Blue Sox is disappointed with the postponement of the start of the season for the Quebec Major League Baseball.

The 20th The season will finally begin on June 25 and each team will play 22 games. François Lécuyer suggested to the leaders of the league and the eight other governors that the regular season be extended from August 15 to 29 in order to compensate for the start of activities scheduled for June 6.

The playoffs would have started immediately at the end of the regular calendar, given that there will be no Canadian championship in 2021. With this formula, the number of games could have remained at 28 and the game ratio per. week would have been 3.1 spread over nine weeks.

The initial formula of 28 games was important for François Lécuyer for the respect towards the fans and partners who have already acquired their season tickets. And for the 2021 visibility plans planned for a minimum number of 28 matches.

The proposal was not only rejected at an emergency meeting on May 28, but the other eight governors allegedly conspired before the meeting to reduce the number of matches from 28 to 22.
