“Dinamo” adds a Canadian striker who has spent a season in Slovakia

The Continental Hockey League (KHL) team Riga “Dinamo” has reached an agreement with the 26-year-old Canadian center forward Emil Porje, who spent the 2020/2021 season in the club of the strongest league in Slovakia “Kosice”.

For the first time in the 2020/2021 season, the Canadian played outside of North America. In Kosice’s regular championship, the striker went on time in 18 games, scoring nine goals and scoring eight assists, but in four playoffs he scored with one goal and two assists.

In 2013, in the first round of the National Hockey League (NHL) new player draft, the Canadian was selected by the Calgary “Flames” team with the total number 22, in whose ranks they managed to play only eight matches in two seasons and mark once with a successful pass.

During his professional career, Porier has also spent seven seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL), where he has scored 56 goals in 302 games and made 90 assists. In the Canadian Junior League (QMJHL), on the other hand, 218 matches were played in three seasons, 104 goals were scored and 114 assists were returned.

Porjee became the 11th attacker of “Dinamo”, because previously contracts were also signed with Lauri Dārziņš, Nikolajs Jelisejevs, Jere Karjalainen, Daniel Bērziņš, Mārtiņš Karsums, Gints Meijs, Aleksandrs Protapovičs, Sebastjans Vanstrems and Rūdolfs Šervinkis, Hunter.
