Christopher Eugene O’Donnell, better known as Chris O’Donnell, was born on June 26, 1970, under the sign of Cancer, in Winnetka, Illinois, Cook County. The younger than seven children, has German and Irish origins. Raised in a believing family, he attended Catholic schools, including Loyola Academy, and graduated in 1988. After that he attended Boston College and earned his baccalaureato in marketing. He also attended UCLA, a famous university in California, but never completed his studies.

At a very young age, Chris O’Donnell pursued the career of template, hired for some advertising campaign. On the set he made his debut in 1990 in the film The men in my life with Jessica Lange. Later, in the film Fried green tomatoes at the train stop (1991), plays the elder brother of the protagonist.
