“In 2011 I was representing the basketball team in FIME, every day I trained and was passionate about the sport. I started to lose skills, lose my balance, I no longer had coordination as before, I had problems with my vision. Something went wrong with the operation and there was damage to the central nervous system.
They told him that the damage was irreparable, that not only would he not be able to return to the sport, but that it would be impossible to fend for himself.
“I ignored him and continued doing my exercises at home, then I looked for a park. I knew that before my operation there was a Roman who could do everything and wanted to be like that Roman,” says the now 32-year-old para-athlete and graduated from Mechatronics at FIME.

But after some time in his native Sinaloa he returned to Nuevo León, where he began working with Erwin Laberdesque on the shot put.
