The Davis Cup and the Billie Jean King tennis tournament, based in Panama, will have a Cuban presence, as the participation of the Antillean casts in both events is confirmed, with the news of the return of Lázaro Navarro, 18 years after his last presentation by Cuba.
Navarro will be accompanied, in the men’s team, by Maikol Ponte, Joan Pérez and Osmel Rivera, with Wilfredo Henry as coach, while the girls who will represent us on the isthmus will be Yusleydis Smith, Sachely Carrera and Roxana Valdéz, under the command of coach Belkys Rodríguez, Jit reported.
The Davis Cup and the Billie Jean King will take place at the Fred Maduro High Performance Center, from June 23 to 26, and in both matches they will distribute two tickets in each sex for the next continental qualification phase. (Sports Writing)
