The summer 2021 events, proposed by l” socio-cultural association Meetings with the inhabitants of Châteaubriant (Loire-Atlantique), were unveiled this June.
They concern children from 6 years old, adolescents, adults and families and will begin on July 7, with several multisport sessions for children and young people.
Multisport sessions at Lake Vioreau
These will take place on the nautical base of Lake Vioreau, in Joué-sur-Erdre (Loire-Atlantique), and will allow participants to learn or become more experienced in catamaran, canoeing, archery. , or even climbing.
Children aged 6 to 9 will also have the opportunity to take part in two “garden” activities: by learning to recognize and cook wild plants (July 12), then by creating their own small square of aromatic garden (July 13).
Introduction to radio journalism for teens
11-14 year olds are offered a three-day course devoted to learning radio journalism, from July 7 to 9. And 13-15 year olds will be able to discover various forms of art (drawing, theater, music, etc.) through artistic workshops led by KWZ Production from Tuesday 20 to Thursday 22 July and from Tuesday 24 to Friday 27 August.
For adults, two “Rando writing” Fridays will be organized: July 16 in Piriac and July 23 in Mesquer.
This same July 23, an animation “Lectures vagabondes” will also be dedicated to families, at the intercommunal socio-cultural center. “With the bonus, a Pop Up workshop with Mom’Nantes and a public rehearsal of storytelling and music with the artists of the Moulin à Roulettes”, specifies the Rencontres association.
Family activities and outings
Mom’Nantes is also at the initiative of a “Family Arts” workshop, scheduled over 4 days from July 27 to 30. With, in final objective, the creation of a collective work which will be presented on Friday evening.
Two day trips are also scheduled by Rencontres: Monday July 19 at the Branféré zoological and leisure park (Morbihan); and Monday July 26 at Papéa parc (“Amusement park for children and adults”) in Yvré-l’Evêque (Sarthe). Outings accessible at preferential rates of € 15 per adult and € 5 per child.
Full cinema on August 27
Finally, the summer Rencontres season will end with an outdoor cinema screening on Friday August 27 at 9 p.m., with the screening of the animated film. Coco, Pixar studios, at the Children’s Rights Park.
Note that apart from multisport courses and day trips (families and adults), the activities offered are free. Registration is however essential.
