STRASBOURG / VALENCE (France / Spain) – Bosnia-Herzegovina, Russia, Spain and Sweden have won the last four tickets to the next phase of the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket, completing the lineup for Wednesday’s quarter-finals.
In particular, Bosnia and Herzegovina reached the quarter-finals for the first time in their history, while Croatia, Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia were eliminated after qualifying for the quarter-finals. Their respective campaigns have come to an end – along with their dreams of competing in qualifying tournaments for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2023.

Players of the match : Astou Ndour continued his good form adding 17 points and 6 rebounds, but it was Maria Conde who stole the show with an almost perfect shooting success for 19 points.

Russia 93-75 Slovenia

Résumé : Russia qualified for the quarter-finals with a superb victory over Slovenia. The Russians got the better of their opponents in a dazzling first half, allowing them to do most of the work.
Players of the match : Raisa Musina was on fire and finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Elizaveta Komarova also weighed in the balance with 20 points (70% shooting success), but then left the game with a worrying injury after falling. Shante Evans impressed for Slovenia, with 21 points and 8 rebounds.
