From July 19 to 24, the Los Cabos Tennis Open will be held behind closed doors and respecting sanitary protocols to avoid COVID-19 infections, only with the assistance of players, sponsors and support staff so that the event takes place on time and shape.
The above was defined during the meeting headed by the president of Los Cabos, Armida Castro Guzmán, the director of the ATP 250, José Antonio Fernández Celorio and organizers of the event; who together agreed to do the corresponding to guarantee the health of those who will be supporting during the tournament days.
Mayor Armida Castro Guzmán stressed that the Municipal Government will do the corresponding through Civil Protection, Public Safety and Health so that this sporting event takes place with all sanitary measures so that players and society have a level event, giving priority to safety and health.
“We will do the same with the protocols and looking for opportunities and means to carry out this event without putting citizens at risk. We must take advantage of technology and work with platforms to hold an important event in different circumstances and taking care of the rules established by the Health sector, ”said Armida Castro.
In this regard, the ATP 250 director, José Antonio Fernández Celorio, reported that during this year’s edition, -to compensate for the issue of the public in the stands, – activities will be carried out so that the fans can be close to their favorite tennis players . Likewise, the players and staff will be undergoing periodic PCR and antigen tests, in addition to the fact that all areas of the complex will be constantly disinfected, and the mask must be worn at all times.
Finally, the organizers thanked the municipal president Armida Castro Guzmán for the availability and coordination with the areas that will be in charge of supervising that the Los Cabos Tennis Open is carried out successfully.
