Roma, 5 June 2021 – In the exact place and on the anniversary day of the first game in its history, played on 5 June 1932 at the Rome Gymnastics, the new one was presented today Lazio Basketball Atg 1932, a new city basketball reality born on the ashes of the old historical society.
This is a completely new project, strongly desired by Enrico Gilardi, who made his debut with the Lazio shirt in 1975 at the age of 18. The former flag is one of the founding members together with Luigi Capasso, Giampaolo Bocci and Simone Ascoli. The technical choice will be to focus strongly on young Romans and the region to try to give them the opportunity to train and take a leap towards basketball that counts by wearing the team colors.
Gilardi: “Retracing the same path”
At the ceremony, Gilardi himself took the floor: “This project – he said – wants to follow the path that I and many of my teammates made.
