ATP> Yves Allegro on Federer: “I don’t see him stopping. He didn’t do all that just to play 3-4 tournaments”

Former Swiss player from 1997 to 2011 (210e in simple, 32e in duplicate), Yves Allegro gave an interview to the RTS in which he explains in particular why and how Roger Federer is the best player of all time. Still on the subject of his friend Bâlois, Yves spoke of the end of his career and believes that he will still play at least one more year. Extracts.

“No one wants it to stop and as long as he feels he is capable of winning big matches and big tournaments, I don’t see him stopping. Everyone says it’s his last year but I know him pretty well and he hasn’t done all of this just to play 3–4 tournaments. I think he would like to continue and play next year. But he’s going to be 40 this summer, it’s not easy, we don’t know how his body will react. If he has no injury and if his level of play is good, we will have a chance to see him next year. “
