Atlanta Hawks in the quarterfinals

Basketball – Clint Capela is in the quarterfinals of the NBA playoffs with the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks get the decisive fourth point against the New York Knicks with a 103:89 away win.

In front of 16,500 spectators, Atlanta impressed with a strong defensive game. In addition to 15 rebounds, Clint Capela contributed 14 points. The best thrower was again Trae Young, who cracked the 30 mark for the third time in a row at Madison Square Garden with 36 points – something that only Michael Jordan had previously achieved in the playoffs.

For Atlanta it is the first quarter-final push since 2016, then with Thabo Sefolosha. The next opponent is the Philadelphia 76ers. The qualifying winner of the Eastern Conference also prevailed against Washington with 4-1 victories. With the Utah Jazz (4-1 against Memphis) the first of the Western Conference survived the first playoff round.

Atlanta’s first game of the best-of-7 series against Philadelphia is scheduled for next Sunday. The Hawks initially compete twice away.
