After beating Arsenal in the Emiliano Buendia case (see the news of Monday 7/06), Aston Villa tried to steal the young talent of the Gunners, midfielder Emile Smith Rowe (20 years old, 33 games and 4 goals in all competitions this season). According to The Athletic, the Villans have made an offer of around € 30m for the England Under-21 international.
This proposal was logically rejected by the formation of Mikel Arteta. The London club does not intend to part with its jewel, whose contract it wants to extend, which ends in June 2023.
