BOLASPORT.COM – Argentina coach, Lionel Scaloni, revealed the reason he did not call Paulo Dybala into his team’s squad for the Copa America.

Paulo Dybala’s name is not included in the list of players in the Argentina squad for the 2021 Copa America.

Lionel Scaloni revealed he had several reasons behind his decision.

One of them is the lack of playing time for Dybala at Juventus in the 2020-2021 season.

“I’m very sad that Dybala can’t come. I really admire Paulo, but Argentina needs players who are fit and ready,” said Scaloni, quoted by BolaSport.com from Football Italia.

“Dybala has had a difficult season. Injuries have made it difficult for him to play regularly. When he was able to play, it was too late.”

Dybala only appeared 26 times in all competitions in the 2020-2021 season.

In the Italian League, he only started 14 times. Dybala’s productivity was not visible.
