Analysts in studio not impressed by Red Devils: “Quickly forgotten” | Sport

Jan Mulder saw the Greeks put their foot next to those of the Belgians, especially in the second half. “Mr Martínez will draw very important conclusions from this display, but I say: ‘Quickly forgotten’.” Timmy Simons joined him in his analysis. “I thought the Devils were very sloppy, while we passed the ball well in the first half. Due to the many mistakes, the pace disappeared from the match and the Greeks came through.”

Marc Degryse was not enthusiastic about this screening either. “Some issues have not yet been resolved. In midfield I have not seen a replacement for Axel Witsel. Leander Dendoncker is not the same type and was not really convincing. And we have to hope that Vertonghen and Vermaelen are not injured during the tournament. Toby (Alderweireld, ed.) was not great, Denayer and Boyata were not either. We gave away 4 or 5 good chances against a mediocre Greece.”
