After twelve wins in a row, ASVEL falls to the Metropolitans 92

Unbeaten since the end of April, Lyon-Villeurbanne had resumed first place in the championship, thanks to the misstep of JDA Dijon and AS Monaco on Thursday. Except TJ Parker’s men broke their teeth at Anthony Brown (19 points at 7/8 on shots, 3 rebounds and 1 assist for 17 evaluation in 18 minutes) and Boulogne-Levallois.

“Collecting 56 points at halftime is not in our DNA”

While Jurij Zdovc’s men have not been at their best lately (5 defeats in their last 6 outings), the Ile-de-France team has dominated its subject. Very hard defense, Brandon Brown (18 points 5/8 on shots, 4 assists and 3 interceptions for 21 evaluation in 24 minutes) and his teammates also had pace to count twenty lengths ahead at the break (56-36, 20 ‘) . A bit like the dunk poster ofArchie Goodwin (16 points at 5/9 on shots and 3 rebounds for 17 evaluation in 18 minutes). “Collecting 56 points at halftime is not in our DNA,” commented the Villeurbanese coach at the microphone of the channel L’Équipe.

Never in a position to worry the Metropolitans 92, the Astroballe’s proteges suffered their seventh setback of the season in an ELITE Jeep. The ASVEL however tried to come back but as soon as the Rhone formation returned a very small one, Boulogne-Levallois sanctioned. Only Norris Cole (20 points at 7/11 on shots) proved to his advantage this Saturday night. Lyon-Villeurbanne will try to straighten his head on Wednesday at Nanterre 92 while Boulogne-Levallois will travel to SIG Strasbourg.
