The Czech Republic delighted football fans by clinching a great victory on Monday thanks to two magnificent goals from Patrick Schick against Scotland (0-2). After 23 years of absence in an international tournament, the Scots for their part missed their return.
For their comeback in the international tournament after 23 years of absence since the 1998 World Cup, the Scots missed their entry into Euro-2021, in Group D. At home, at Hampden Park stadium in Glasgow, they were inclined, Monday, June 14, on the score of 0 to 2 against a particularly inspired Czech Republic.

On fire, the Leverkusen striker started the second half on the same basis. He worried the Scottish goalkeeper from the 46th minute, but it was six minutes later that Patrik Schick released a lob from 50 meters that found the net. A gem that will certainly remain as one of the goals of this Euro.
The Scots then try to pick up the mark, like Lyndon Dykes who tries to head back to a center, but without success (57th). In the 62nd minute, the Queens Park Rangers center-forward returned to the offensive by taking a ball from six yards with his toe, but it was once again well repelled by the check keeper. Lyndon Dykes pushes, but he still comes up against a great Tomáš Vaclík who diverts his shot low to the ground (66th).
In front of their supporters, the tartan team showed their will to change the match, but the Czechs held on until the final whistle. Patrik Schick even had the opportunity to score a hat-trick in the 81st minute with a low shot in the box, but his shot crashed into the Scottish goalkeeper. In stoppage time, teammate Michael Krmencik is also close to scoring Scotland with a nice cross strike, but David Marshall is in a good position to deflect it.
Thanks to this success, the Czech Republic takes the lead in Group D, ahead of England who beat Croatia (1-0) on Sunday.
