The 103rd National High School Baseball Championship Chiba Tournament combination lottery was held at the Sports Science Center (Inage Ward, Chiba City) on the 8th, and the combination of 157 participating teams (170 schools) was decided.

Last year, it was canceled due to the influence of the new coronavirus, and it was held for the first time in two years. There are four A-seed schools: Chiba Gakugei, Narita, Senshu University Matsudo, and Funabashi Prefecture. Captain Amaha Kitami (third year), who has been sworn in as a player, said, “I would like to express my gratitude for being able to hold the event during the Corona season.”

The opening ceremony will be held at ZOZO Marine Stadium (Mihama-ku, Chiba City) on the 30th, and the first round will start from July 1st. The final will be held at the stadium on the 19th of the same month.

To prevent infection with the new corona, no spectators except school officials until the 4th round. General customers are scheduled to enter only the games at the stadium after the 5th round. (Minori Suzuki)
