For a Solidarity Raid in 2021

The three young women will participate in the 20e Raid Amazones 2021, in Thailand, at the end of November. With for six days, trail, canoe, archery, orientation and Run & Bike events every morning. A 100% feminine, united and ecological adventure raid! “No engine, only sweat”, promises the slogan, for the 300 teams already registered.

To participate, you must first raise funds. The trio then created the LAJ Aventure association. “What matters to us is of course travel, sporting adventure, but also solidarity. “

Train, enjoy and support

The idea of ​​participating in the Raid Amazones? “It came from a friend who participated in 2019 in Vietnam,” says Julie. Chick! The three friends signed up in March 2020. “Just before confinement. The virus did not help us, ”they concede. Many postponements and cancellations followed.

Now they have six months left. They put their foot on the accelerator. With “regular training for trail running with Simon Haslouin from the Raidapte association and the Aubin champion Julien Cougnaud”. Three other coaches train them: Romain Caillaud (canoe), Michaël Josselin (mountain biking) and Ludovic Boulineau (archery). “Our goal is not to arrive first, but to be able to enjoy the landscapes, the adventure, without suffering too much. “

And for that, a trail in the Pyrenees is scheduled at the end of June. “2300 meters of vertical drop over 25 kilometers in Andorra to better face the Thai mountains afterwards,” explains Laetitia.

The three nurses have other plans before their departure: dance lessons with the Sula Bula company and a concert at the Aubin wine cellar. Three sponsors, donations from individuals, a sale of t-shirts and caps and a raffle will also help them finance their individual participation which amounts to € 4,000.
